As an architect, I help people realize dreams – for themselves, and the people and communities they care about. I highly value design but my practice is more concerned with ensuring that difference-making projects happen. Projects that celebrate people, build community, and sustain our world. If this is the impact you imagine, I will help you make it real.
Design
Ask yourself, what’s the goal you’re trying to achieve or the problem you’re trying to solve? Design is crucial to finding the answer to both. That’s because design helps in asking better, more complete questions. I use design principles and methodologies as a tool to deconstruct and understand existing conditions, then to develop the solutions you seek.
Strategy
Strategic thinking is the foundation upon which successful efforts are built. I’m a strategy architect. I’ll help you to imagine and build optimal pathways for achieving your purpose. Together, we’ll identify the most effective way to move your work from vision to impact. Or, better understand why you aren’t currently realizing the impact you desire.
In Others’ Words
I’ve had the benefit of working with Chris over a few years. His ability to offer evenhanded critiques and assessments from an outside perspective alone has been enlightening. With his insights and pragmatic approach, it’s been more like working alongside a thought partner with a genuine interest in actualizing the vision.
Chris’ work with our organization as a strategic thought partner was crucial in our evaluation of the feasibility and sustainability of a housing project in the Pueblo area. His unique experience and insights were invaluable.
Over the years, Chris has coached me to be a thoughtful and deeper strategic thinker with a lens toward inclusive community transformation. He has a masterful way of taking one out of their comfort zone and elevate their capacity to think big. He is authentic, visionary and deliberate in helping people grow.
Chris, I want to thank you for your wisdom, direction and strategic advice for the past five years. Solid Rock Community Development Corporation’s growth and development as an organization can be traced to your guidance. It has been such a pleasure working with you.
I can honestly say that a great part of CCWB’s success and impact is because of you. Thank you for believing in our work. Thank you for taking the risk on us. Thank you for trusting us. As a woman of color, I will always be grateful to you!
